Albus Dumbledore Is Gay

Albus Dumbledore

Harry Potter author JK Rowling has revealed that one of her characters, Hogwarts school headmaster Albus Dumbledore, is gay. Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore is a fictional character within the Harry Potter. I couldn’t believe it. He’s gay? For me Severus Snape looks gay more than Dumbledore.

It’s good attempting to show ‘coming out’ in a positive light but it’s kinda shocking. I am Harry Potter’s fan. I read Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone when I was a cabin attendant. I remember I read it when I was in Narita all night.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – J.K. Rowling has outed one of the main characters of her best-selling Harry Potter series, telling fans in New York that the wizard Albus Dumbledore, head of Hogwarts school, is gay.

Speaking at Carnegie Hall on Friday night in her first U.S. tour in seven years, Rowling confirmed what some fans had always suspected — that she “always thought Dumbledore was gay,” reported entertainment Web site E! Online.

Rowling said Dumbledore fell in love with the charming wizard Gellert Grindelwald but when Grindelwald turned out to be more interested in the dark arts than good, Dumbledore was “terribly let down” and went on to destroy his rival.

That love, she said, was Dumbledore’s “great tragedy.”

“Falling in love can blind us to an extent,” she said.

Gay rights campaigner Peter Tatchell welcomed the news about Dumbledore and said :

“It’s good that children’s literature includes the reality of gay people, since we exist in every society.

“But I am disappointed that she did not make Dumbledore’s sexuality explicit in the Harry Potter book. Making it obvious would have sent a much more powerful message of understanding and acceptance.”

And a spokesman for gay rights group Stonewall added :

“It’s great that JK has said this. It shows that there’s no limit to what gay and lesbian people can do, even being a wizard headmaster.”

First Day at Sanook Online

My Desk

October 15, 2007 is my first day at Sanook Online Ltd. I arrived there at 9 am. I am 30 minutes late. Sanook office is located in North Park, Vibhavadi Rangsit Road. From my working room I can see green view of Rajpruek golf yard. Anyway I had to wait for my computer while they were setting up. My team leader asked me whether I prefer a laptop or a PC desktop. I wanted a PC desktop because it’s Intel Core 2 duo and I already have my own laptop. I got to know Earth, the programmer. He’s my first friend here. He’s also new, started working on the same day as mine. He’s nice, friendly and he’s gay (we’re rainbow team). I am in a special team to build up a special website so I have to work hard. I don’t mind hard work. I just want to work in a company that value me. That’s enough for me. What else should I want more.

P’Ploy and P’Tem (HR) took me and Earth to have lunch. They kindly treated us the first lunch here. Thank you ka. I had 4 bowls of noodles. The bowl was very small (or I was very hungry).

In the afternoon, I attended the group meeting. There’re about 14 people in the room. I felt so small. They seemed very professional. I have to be active! My first assignment was to design the web logo.

After work, I picked N’Goy up at Thammasat University. We went to have dinner at Barbeque Plaza, Fashion Island. I eat a lot. I was so hungry!

Celebrate My New Job

Mousses & Merinques

On October 9, 2007 I picked N’Goy up at Thammasat University around 12.30 pm. That time Orr and Tina were watching Stardust at Esplanade so I and N’Goy went to Siam Square to have lunch and to have my hair cut at 2 be 1.

We had lunch at Thasiam because N’Goy wanted to have something spicy then we went to 2 be 1. P’Mai, my hair dresser cut my hair very short. I tried to not be too concerned as my hair grows back very quickly. Anyway I got a call from a HR of True Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. I went for job interview with them weeks ago. She said she wanted me for the final interview. I informed her that I already got a job. After that the guy who interviewed me weeks ago called me said how pity he was. I told him I also felt pity but I had to pile on Sanook Online Ltd. I felt glad though that he wanted to work with me. Thank you ^^

We went to Siam Paragon to the game arcade. We played The House of The Dead 4. I really love this game. I played it since episode 1. N’Goy and Tina preferred to eat Korean grilled beef so I took N’Goy to J-Avenue Thonglor by BTS to meet Orr and Tina there. We called a cab to Seoul Korean Restaurant.

I love their grilled beef, so delicious and expensive. N’Goy was still hungry so we went back to J-Avenue and had some cakes at Mousses & Merinques. N’Goy had 2 cakes and 1 scoop of iberry ice-cream. She made me gain more weight.

It was raining so Orr and Tina gave us a lift to Siam Square.

Prepare your pulse. Accelerated your beat.

Yura An Japanese Restaurant

On October, 8 2007 N’Goy came to my house before noon. We had Hinanese chicken rice or Khaomankai in Thai (steamed chicken in flavored rice) as lunch. She visited her 2 goldfishes (she named them Kuekkuk and Jeed) that live in my mom’s lotus basin.

In the evening, I had to do some business at Thosapol Land Bldg 2, Rachada-pisak Road. I took N’Goy with me so we could have dinner together. We went to J-Avenue Thonglor. We eat at Yura An Japanese Restaurant then we had some cakes at Mousses & Merinques. She met her friends there so they asked her whether she wanted to go to Inch Club. She’s only 18 years old, it’s illegal to get in the club (must be 20+) but her friend knew someone inside so she could get in.

Inch Club

Inch Club is located behind the Esplanade. We arrived there around 10.30 pm. I’ve never been to this place before. It’s my first time but it’s N’Goy’s first time going to a pub. I think she was excited. The pub looked nice. Her convent girlfriends were nice too.

N’Goy is talented dancer and she loves to dance so … she danced all the time. I loved the way she moved. I couldn’t resist to dance with her all night long.

It was fun. I hope she had a good time. We were there until 3 am. then we went back to my home. She had a class in the morning.

2 Movies A Day at Siam Paragon

Robert De Niro

After I got a full time job, I feel much more relax. I am worried only about the personal loans from the bank. I am waiting for it. I need it urgently to do the laser eye surgery. I took every job I could. There is a job that I’ve never thought I could even do but I’ve already put myself into it already. I will do it just because I love my family.

On October 5, 2007 I met Kris and P’Un Puwanart at GMM Grammy Place in the moning. I had lunch at Dee’s with Bua, Jib, Tee and Boyd and I went to Sanook Online Limited to sign the contract. After that I picked N’Goy up at Thammasat University. We went to Siam Paragon to watch a movie. I wanted to watch Stardust. N’Goy also wanted to watch Underdog so we watched them both. After watching Underdog, we had dinner at Kalapapruek Restaurant. N’Goy pouted at me because I fell asleep during the movie. I was tired. Anyway this movie made me think of Elf, my long gone beagle. He was an extremely lively, healthy and happy dog with a lot of personality. He loved all man kind and they seemed to love him back, probably because of his happiness. You couldn’t help laughing at him. I miss him.

Then we watched Stardust. It’s about a young man named Tristan (Charlie Cox) tries to win the heart of Victoria (Sienna Miller), the beautiful but cold object of his desire, by going on a quest to retrieve a fallen star. His journey takes him to a mysterious and forbidden land beyond the walls of his village. On his odyssey, Tristan finds the star, which has transformed into a striking girl named Yvaine (Claire Danes).

This movie has everything a fantasy movie should have, romance, clever witticisms, great acting and a fair dose of magic. Exciting, hilarious and equipped with wonderful imagery as well as unforgettable characters, Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert De Niro‘s especially, I challenge anyone to watch this movie without a smile. Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer were equally well-casted; DeNiro as that gay sky pirate. I laughed so hard at that one scene where Septimus comes on the ship. Pfeiffer played a decent villain, she had the right amount of melodrama and snide comments throughout the movie.

Robert De Niro’s Captain Shakespeare character is attempting to show ‘coming out’ in a positive light. I love it!

AfterElton.Com said that

But even if I was going to hold the character against the movie I’d still say I’m glad it had the stroy the way it did for two reasons – 1) The captain was outed in the end and the whole crew of cut throat pirates said “We knew and you’re still our captain.” They accepted him even though it was his biggest fear that he’d lose his reputation. 2) Several times in this storyline and two other running storylines in the movie the point was made, “Why would you want to be something you’re not?”

And in the end Robert de Niro flirts with a cutie.

Plus! And here is something I really want to know about – Who was behind this movie? It was SOOOOO gay. Ian McKellan was the narrator. Ruperett Everett was one of the princes and had some very brief scenes. The pro gay storyline.

Sanook!

New Shirts

I got a full time job as a web designer at Sanook Online Ltd. This company is Thailand’s leading Internet company. Established in 1998 M-Web (Thailand) has developed into the country’s premier local online service provider. Sanook Online Ltd. is the owner of the No. 1 web site in Thailand – Sanook.com. The web site has remained at the top, supported by the unmatchable record of the highest number of visitors for the past years.

First, I would like to thank you every comment for giving me support through my difficult time. Thank you Orr, Tina and Noom for being my good friends. Special thanks to my family and my beloved N’Goy for always being there.

97 days of being an unemployed gave me many experiences. I realize how many things I can do. I have time for my family, friends and my love, N’Goy.

Since I will start working with Sanook Online Ltd. on October 15, 2007 and I have to meet my clients (freelance jobs) constantly, N’Goy helped me choose these new shirts. I feel I am loved by her everytime I wear it.
