White, The Soi Dog

White

White

This is “White“. She’s a blind soi dog (stray). She’s blind because of leprosy. Whenever I meet her I will feed her with Pedigree, bone tasty (beef flavour) like in the picture. It’s a small thing I tried to do.

One of the lessons I learned from the book, Tuesdays With Morrie was “give to your community.” Morrie said “Once you learn how to die, you learn how to live“. It’s like when you know you’re going to die, and that you live a better life because of it. For me I realize how important of being volunteer and doing some charity fund. I even think of starting a charity fund (non profit) about helping stray dogs, street dogs, homeless dogs. I want every dog to be well raise and take care like Elf (my beagle dog) was. People in Thailand should care more about dogs.

On Christmas, Cee has sent me an ecard wrote that she donated to ‘Soi Dog Rescue‘, a non profit fund in Bangkok. I visit their website and found it interesting. I don’t need to build another fund coz there’re so many funds here. I just never noticed. I decided to start with money donation and being their volunteer. I can help with graphic thing and web design, if they want. I also found a blog about Bangkok Street Dogs. You can also save many dog’s lifes through Pantip Jutujak section. You can read a sad story about ‘Nual‘ there.

Anyway I bought lottery, if I won the big prize, I would start a charity fund named “White Elf Foundation“. Meanwhile I will just keep on donating and being volunteer.

Rubber Duck

Rubber Duck

I love rubber duck. I have one in my car. Today I bought another one from an old woman on foothpath. A rubber duck, or rubber duckie, is a toy shaped like a duck that is made of rubber or rubber-like material such as vinyl plastic. Almost all modern rubber ducks are made out of vinyl plastic rather than rubber. Most commonly, rubber ducks are designed to be used as floating bathtub toys.

My mom has duck collection made from ceramics, pottery, wood, vine and even made duck pattern in cross-stitch.

When I drive furiously or speedy if I glance at the duck on the car console, I would think of my mom and slow down. So I put this new rubber duck on the computer screen. I named it “Zeng Ped“. Whenever I feel zeng ped, I will just look at “Zeng Ped”. I can remind my mom words teaching me …

“Don’t take every single thing into your mind, don’t be sensitive. You should learn to let thing goes. Don’t expect thing too high, you’ll get big disappointment. Don’t trust anyone wholeheartly when you hardly know them. You should learn to do something in between, not extremely but not less”.

She said I was like her when she’s young. I have pure artist blood. My mom is an artist and my dad is a bass player.

She said “That pure artist blood will do you no good. Believe me. We only do things with our heart not our brain. That’s why we’re not rich” then she giggled.

Joe, The Sea-Cret Agent

Figure Model

Figure Model

I am a big fan of Suthichart S., aka SS. He’s a cartoonist and illustrator. His famous manga series is Joe, The Sea-Cret Agent. I like this series a lot!. He’s so talented.

I saw that there’re character figure models of Joe in Monkey Magazine. P’Keng writes a column in this magazine so I asked P’Keng whether he could help me ask where to buy these models. I gotta have them! I desperately need them!

P’Keng called his friend, Khun Nut. He told me that he’s going to meet Khun SS. today so he will ask Khun SS. about it.

SS

While I was having lunch Khun Nut called to P’Keng and I have a big chance to talk to Khun SS. I was so darn exciting. I couldn’t say anything. The words stuck in my tongue. Finally I said only silly things. *emberassing*
I just understand the meaning of a song “คำถามโง่ๆ” ^^
If I have time, I would build up a fanclub website for him. Thanks P’Keng and Khun Nut for giving me this chance to talk to Khun SS.

A&W Restaurant

Mozza Burger

Mozza Burger

Since I had Mozza Burger (Combo set A) at A&W Restaurant with my Papa and Mama on one cozy day’s morning, I couldn’t stop thinking about this burger. It was so delicious! I think it is more tasty than Burger King. I usually like to eat Whopper. But this case is unusual because the A&W’ slogan is “More than the usual”. So today after work, I ran to A&W restaurant at Silom complex. I noticed that there were many convent’s students in the restaurant. They came here for tutors.

I was there eating my Mozza burger, curly fries and root beer. A&W Root Beer® is the world’s number one selling root beer. I was so full. I have to stop eating this yummy burger though.

Netlingo

Nowadays new words or new vocabuaries are born because of internet. I think it’s very creative and clever way. You can find the meaning of these words by using www.netlingo.com. I found some words are interesting.

Blog – The root of this word is “Weblog”. It means a web site (or section of a Web site) where users can post a chronological, up-to-date e-journal entry of their thoughts. You can find more meanings about blog by visiting Keng.Com

Screen-saver face
– Slang for the look a person gets on their face when they are bored to the point of shutting down their brain.

I think I have this screen-saver face all the time.

Emoticons – Emotion + icons
emoticons pronounced: e-moh-tih-con
An emoticon is a sequence of typed characters that creates a rough picture of something, such as a facial expression.

Text me – The modern equivalent to “call me,” it refers to asking someone to send you a text message on your instant messaging program.

New words in, old words out. How do new words make it into dictionaries? A word must also be seen to be used over a considerable period of time, with citations spanning a number of years, usually somewhere between two and five. This last criterion is probably the most flexible however.

Tuesdays With Morrie

Tuesdays With Morrie

Tuesdays With Morrie

One day on MRT, I saw an university student was reading a book. I looked at the cover, it showed “Tuesdays With Morrie“. I had no idea it is a bestseller book but the name seems very interesting. I noted down the name and intended to get it one day.

Unfortunately I totally forgot about it. Today I saw this book again at SE-ED bookstore unintentional so I quickly bounced to it. Finally this book is in my hands. There was Thai edition but I decided to buy original edition. Not that I’m “kra-dae” but I wanted to practice my reading skill. Tuesdays With Morrie is a bestselling non-fiction book by American writer Mitch Albom, published in 1997. An Old Man, A Young Man, and the Last Great Lesson. Mitch rediscovered Morrie in the last months of the older man’s life. Knowing he was dying, Morrie visited with Mitch in his study every Tuesday, just as they used to back in college. Their rekindled relationship turned into one final “class”: lessons in how to live.

Step Up

“Every second chance begins with a first step”. I want to see this movie because my all time favourite movies are Grease, Flash Dance and Dirty Dancing. This film seems interesting to me. Step Up directed by Anne Fletcher. She is talented choreographer.
