The place of good bread

Au Bon Pain

I love the cafe atmosphere. I like smell of fresh coffee & hot bread. I think I can spend a whole day at a cafe, a teahouse or a coffee shop. I would read a book or using laptop, sip coffee and eat some sandwich.

In Japan, the cafe business has been booming all over since year 2001. These fashionable hangouts do not just serve tasty cups of coffee and tempting desserts; other factors like their interior design and decor and the music playing in the background make cafes mellow spaces that have won the hearts of younger generations, especially women in their twenties and thirties.

One of the most persuasive is that the success of American espresso chain Starbucks — which arrived in Japan in 1996 and has in to time at all accumulated over 220 outlets–proved there was demand for a variety of types of quality coffee.

Yesterday’s morning I went to Au Bon Pain (near MRT) to get some breakfast. Au Bon Pain arrived in Thailand since 1997. Au Bon Pain means the place of good bread in French. Au Bon Pain is a stylish bakery café.

I have no idea what to order. I just told a staff that I want to have some bargels with cheese. Something like that. He’s very nice and all staffs there were nice. He suggested me “the breakfast set”.

It was really delicious indeed. It made me want to go there everyday but I can’t. It’s kinda expensive breakfast for me (almost 100 baht). I usually eat some tuna sandwich (15 baht) and orange juice (18 baht).

When You Least Expect It

Juth's Shorts

Don’t get me wrong, I am not a freak on net showing off my buttock. I just want to show you this shorts. It’s the kind of the shorts, I have been wanting to get for a long time! I just couldn’t find one like this. I tried to look for it at Siam square, Jatujak, The Mall and etc. Those shorts were not exactly what I wanted to get.

Tonight after work (8.30 p.m.) I walked to MRT Silom station. I saw many policemen. They checked every vehicle around there. While I was walking in fear (bombing), I saw this shorts! I stopped walking immediatly. It cost 130 baht.

It comes when you least expect it right? Just like when they said “Love will find you when you least expect it“.

Silom road was not crowded like it’s supposed to be. Though many foreigners were there doing shopping and walking. I should be hurry up get out from there but I couldn’t resist to stop by and bought this shorts. The seller told me “No need to be hurry” when I drop some coins on the street. I asked her “Aren’t you afraid of explosion?”. She said “No, I am not. If it’s my destiny to die tonight then I must be dead no matter where I hide”.

It’s simple idea but it’s so true. Speaking about “simple idea“. I do believe that simple idea can make huge success. Simple idea can change your life.

Saleem Rana wrote that Ideas happen all the time. And when I say an idea, I don’t just mean a mere thought. An idea is more than a mental opinion.

We all have ideas, but usually we brush them off, rushing to do other more pressing or more entertaining things. We treat ideas like beggars who try to steal our attention. We hurry past them with our eyes averted.

All it takes is paying attention to all the ideas that are showing up for you every day.

Graffiti Sign

Graffiti Sign

Graffiti Sign

IRK” graffiti sign is nothing to do with the bombings in Bangkok. I have no idea why Thai police men brought this point up. Maybe they want to guide people to think it is related to IRK in Afghanistan. I saw a graffiti artist gave an interview on TV said that it is only a graffiti sign “IRIE“, it means to get high. The policemen should feel humiliated. National Police Chief General Kovit even tried to conclude that it is because of Thailand’s southern provinces’ problem. Hell no, I don’t think so man.

I took MRT and work in Silom area. I am afraid of the bombings. Being Thai people is to live our lives risky. I noticed that everyone went home so early today. MRT was not crowded as usual. I like it though.

Read more about this ridiculous IRK here (Thai)

Explosions in Bangkok

Lucky that I didn’t go anywhere tonight coz I want to do website. I hate crowded. There’re at least nine explosions ripped through several areas of the capital. One of the blasts occurred at a mall near the Victory Monument and I just heard that there’re 2 or 3 blasts at Central World. I am really sorry for wounded and dead people.
